The Spidery Score
A 0–100 measure of how organic and brand-safe an Instagram profile is. It's calculated only from data the creator shares with us through Instagram's official login, and it refreshes every night.

What we measure
| Signal | Points | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Engagement rate | 30 | Likes + comments per post compared with accounts of the same size. Bought followers don't engage, so engagement falls far below normal. |
| Engagement consistency | 15 | Real audiences engage steadily. Big spikes on a few posts can mean boosted or purchased likes. |
| Comment-to-like ratio | 10 | Genuine audiences leave roughly 1–8 comments per 100 likes. Very few comments points to fake likes; too many can point to comment pods. |
| Audience in India | 15 | Share of followers located in India, from Instagram's audience insights. Fake-follower farms are usually abroad. |
| 30-day reach | 10 | How many unique accounts saw the creator's content compared with their follower count. |
| Follower / following balance | 10 | Accounts that follow thousands of others to get follow-backs score lower. |
| Posting activity | 10 | Active creators deliver better for brands. Inactive accounts lose points. |
| Follower growth pattern | −10 | Sudden overnight jumps in followers (tracked daily) are deducted — the classic sign of bought followers. |
What we never do
- We never scrape Instagram or ask for your password. Connection uses Meta's official Instagram Login.
- We can't post, comment, like or message from your account.
- You can disconnect anytime and your Instagram data is deleted from Spidery Creators.
The score is an indicator, not a verdict. Brands should also review a creator's content and portfolio before booking.
